Alward Fisher Adds Former Traverse City Attorney Lauren Trible-Laucht to Team

Alward Fisher, a Traverse City-based law firm with 14 attorneys and over 100 years of combined legal experience, has announced the addition of Lauren E. Trible-Laucht to its team. Trible-Laucht joins the firm after serving 15 years as City Attorney for the City of Traverse City, a role in which she acted as the City's in-house general counsel. Her move to private practice marks a significant shift for both the firm and the community, as it brings high-level municipal legal expertise into the private sector and expands the resources available to clients across Northern Michigan.

During her tenure as City Attorney from 2011 to 2026, Trible-Laucht advised municipal departments, City officials, and the City commission on a broad range of operational, governmental, and legal matters. Her work encompassed property transactions, development agreements, ordinance drafting and enforcement, labor and employment matters, municipal governance, zoning and land use, contracts, and litigation. This extensive experience in public law provides her with a deep understanding of the regulatory and legal frameworks that affect businesses, property owners, and individuals in the region.

Edward Price, the Firm's Managing Partner, emphasized the value Trible-Laucht brings. "Lauren is an incredible addition to the team," he said. "We admire her sharp legal experience, as well as her devotion to the Traverse City community. At Alward Fisher, our mission is to provide peace of mind to our clients, whether they're struggling with a divorce, a business dispute, financial trouble, estate planning, or criminal law matters. We believe Lauren is the perfect attorney to further that mission."

Trible-Laucht's background includes a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Kalamazoo College in 2002, and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School in 2008. She also studied law, constitutional law, and German at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn, Germany, as a Kalamazoo College Fellow, and served as a judicial intern to U.S. District Judge Gerald E. Rosen in the Eastern District of Michigan. Before her time with Traverse City, she was an associate attorney with Jon H. Kingsepp PLLC, serving as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Clawson, where she represented municipal and private clients in litigation, contract negotiations, and labor matters.

The addition of Trible-Laucht is significant for Alward Fisher's clients, who will now have access to an attorney with firsthand experience in municipal governance, zoning, and land use—areas that frequently intersect with private legal matters such as real estate transactions, business disputes, and estate planning. Her transition to private practice also signals the firm's commitment to expanding its capacity to handle complex legal issues in Northern Michigan.

For those seeking legal representation, Alward Fisher offers a range of services including banking, business and corporate law, civil litigation, criminal defense, estate planning and probate, family law, and real estate law. More information about the firm's attorneys, including Lauren E. Trible-Laucht and Edward Price, is available through the firm's website. The announcement of Trible-Laucht's arrival underscores the growing demand for sophisticated legal services in the region and the firm's strategic effort to meet that demand with experienced counsel.
