American Fusion Inc. (OTC: AMFN), a developer of next-generation fusion energy technologies, has announced a series of operational and technology milestones as it advances development of its Texatron Fusion Engine platform. The updates, announced July 1, reflect several parallel initiatives intended to support the company’s long-term commercialization strategy.
The company said it is relocating its operations from Midland, Texas, to the Fort Worth metropolitan area, where engineering, fabrication, laboratory and administrative functions will ultimately operate from a single integrated facility. According to management, the move will occur in two phases and is expected to consolidate operations under one roof, improving efficiency and collaboration.
American Fusion is also progressing toward a testing agreement with Texas Tech University for both its 5MW and 500kW Texatron Fusion Engine platforms. Management expects university testing infrastructure to accelerate portions of its development program, with initial testing activities targeted as early as July. This partnership could provide critical validation of the company’s technology and reduce time to market.
Additionally, the company has filed seven new U.S. patent applications to expand its intellectual property surrounding the Texatron Fusion Engine architecture. This brings the total number of pending and granted patents to a level that management believes provides a strong competitive moat. The patents cover key aspects of the fusion engine design, including plasma confinement and energy extraction methods.
These developments come as the fusion energy sector attracts increased attention from investors and policymakers seeking clean, virtually limitless power. American Fusion’s progress positions it among a small group of companies working to commercialize fusion technology, which could transform global energy markets if successfully deployed.
