(ASL) has expanded its partnership with Teton, the proactive care platform for senior living communities, deploying the AI monitoring system across its Pennsylvania portfolio following a successful pilot at Heritage Springs Memory Care. The rollout, which went live at Wynwood House State College on April 1, 2026, and at Wynwood House Nittany Valley in Centre County on April 8, 2026, has achieved a 99.8% resident and family adoption rate, with only one family opting out across all locations.
Teton's platform uses passive optical sensors installed in resident rooms that require no wearables or resident interaction. The system processes movement data locally, ensuring privacy; no live video or audio is captured. Care teams receive safety signals and brief anonymized clips when needed. The technology is HIPAA compliant and SOC 2 certified. Teton's own research, analyzing more than 2,000 falls across four countries, found that measurable signals like night-time movement patterns and sleep disruption can precede falls by hours or days, enabling early intervention.
As part of the expansion, one of Aquinas's Pennsylvania facilities is serving as the official beta test site for the integrated E-call resident call system, which folds traditional assistance requests into the Teton dashboard. By unifying fall detection and manual alerts, the system aims to reduce alarm fatigue and help staff prioritize critical needs in real time.
