In an effort to recognize and support students who have shown exceptional dedication to aiding others in times of need, Burrow & Associates, LLC has announced the launch of the Road to Recovery Scholarship. This initiative will award $1,000 to one deserving student to help cover tuition, books, and other academic expenses. The scholarship is open to students across the United States who are currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program, including community college students, high school seniors, and GED holders.
Applicants are required to submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words addressing three prompts about helping others through injury, illness, and hardship. Additionally, they must provide a current resume and an unofficial transcript. All materials must be emailed to scholarships@legalatlanta.com by August 31, 2027. The scholarship recipient will be announced on October 1, 2027.
The scholarship is intentionally broad in scope, welcoming students from all fields of study, not just those pursuing legal careers. A qualifying applicant might have cared for a family member after an accident, volunteered with individuals recovering from illness or injury, or assisted a neighbor in rebuilding after a difficult period. This reflects the firm's belief that recovery and resilience are often supported by the compassion and action of others.
Darrell L. Burrow, founding attorney of Burrow & Associates, emphasized the importance of such support: "After a serious injury, recovery depends on the people who step in to help, and we have seen firsthand how much that support matters for our own clients. This scholarship is our way of recognizing students who have taken real action to help others recover and rebuild, and who plan to keep doing that work long after they graduate."
Burrow & Associates, LLC has been assisting Georgia residents with serious legal matters since 1996. The firm handles personal injury and consumer bankruptcy cases from several offices across the Atlanta area. They have recovered millions of dollars across more than 10,000 personal injury settlements, building a reputation on treating clients with dignity, providing honest advice, and offering compassionate representation. The Road to Recovery Scholarship is part of the firm's ongoing commitment to the people and communities it serves.
For questions about the scholarship or the application process, students are encouraged to email burrowscholarship@legalatlanta.com. The office is unable to accept phone inquiries related to the scholarship. This initiative underscores the firm's dedication to fostering a culture of empathy and support, values that are integral to its practice and its vision for the future.
