Charbone Corporation (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47), a vertically integrated industrial gases company specializing in clean ultra-high purity (UHP) hydrogen, announced the delivery of its electrolyzer to its flagship site in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec. This milestone represents a significant advancement in the company's Phase 1B development, bringing it closer to boosting production capacity to meet the growing needs of its industrial clients.
The electrolyzer, which produces hydrogen through water electrolysis, serves as the technological core for the site's next production phase. With this delivery, Charbone's teams, construction contractors, and technical partners can now proceed with positioning, installation, and integration into the existing infrastructure. Civil engineering and foundation work have been planned to accommodate the equipment, and subsequent steps will include assembly, mechanical and electrical connections, testing, and commissioning, all aligned with the company's execution schedule.
This development is part of Charbone's modular and phased strategy, enabling the addition of production capacity in line with demand while maintaining a disciplined approach to growth. The company has confirmed that its previously communicated timeline for a fall launch remains on track.
“It is with immense pride that we announce the arrival of our electrolyzer in Sorel-Tracy today. This is far more than the delivery of a piece of equipment; it represents the achievement of a pivotal step in realizing our vision and one of the most important milestones in the Company’s history. The risks associated with delivery are now behind us,” said Dave Gagnon, President and CEO of Charbone. “This achievement also reflects the exceptional commitment of our employees, partners, suppliers, and all stakeholders contributing to the development of our flagship site. We are now entering a new phase of execution that will strengthen our ability to serve our key customers and create sustainable value for our shareholders.”
The delivery underscores Charbone's progress in its mission to provide clean UHP hydrogen across North America and selected international markets. The company serves sectors where UHP gases are critical, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers, advanced pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense technologies. By expanding production capacity, Charbone aims to address supply gaps for mid-tier industrial gas customers and support the transition to a lower-carbon economy.
Charbone's modular and demand-driven approach, combined with its integrated storage and distribution platform, is designed to enable scalable growth and stable revenue generation. The company is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, OTC Markets, and Frankfurt Stock Exchange. For more information, visit www.charbone.com.
