DATAGROUP has been awarded a contract to operate the User Help Desk for Dataport AoR, a leading IT service provider for German public administration, following a public bidding process. The agreement, valued in the double-digit millions, spans five years and includes managing first-level support for up to 30,000 calls and 25,000 tickets per month. This partnership underscores DATAGROUP's growing footprint in the public sector and its capability to handle high-volume service demands.
Dataport supports and advises several federal states and numerous municipalities in digitizing administrative services. Under the new contract, DATAGROUP will ensure reliable operation of digital workstations and processes for users in government agencies, administrative bodies, and public institutions. The procurement process prioritized flexible scalability, consistent service quality, and the ability to manage high inquiry volumes effectively.
DATAGROUP impressed the procurement committee with a structured solution concept and an economically attractive bid. Key factors included a robust operational framework, proven experience in comparable projects, and longstanding public sector expertise. “The digitization of public administration requires high-performance IT structures and reliable background services,” said Andreas Baresel, CEO of DATAGROUP. “Going forward, Dataport and we will be united by the shared mission of reliably supporting digital workplaces and administrative processes for numerous users.”
Andreas Reichel, Chief Technology Officer at Dataport, emphasized the need for a partner that could handle high service volumes while maintaining quality and supporting technological development. “DATAGROUP impressed us with its experience in the public sector, its operational concept, and its clear focus on sustainable service quality,” he said.
The contract marks a significant win for DATAGROUP, which employs approximately 4,000 people across Germany and, since June 2026, in the Netherlands. The company offers IT infrastructure and business application services, including its CORBOX product, and follows a growth strategy through organic expansion and acquisitions.
