Datavault AI Appoints Cybersecurity Veteran Barry Childe as CISO to Bolster Data Protection and Quantum-Resistant Security

Datavault AI (NASDAQ: DVLT), a provider of data monetization, credentialing, digital engagement and real-world asset tokenization technologies, has appointed Dr. Barry Childe as chief information security officer. In this role, Childe will lead the company’s cybersecurity strategy, strengthen data protection across its tokenization, valuation and secure data monetization platforms, and oversee initiatives focused on AI security and quantum-resistant technologies.

Childe brings more than 40 years of experience in cybersecurity, high-performance computing, cloud infrastructure and distributed-ledger technology. His leadership roles include positions at HSBC, Barclays Capital, The Royal Bank of Scotland and VMware, as well as co-founding quantum-encryption company Arqit. CEO Nathaniel T. Bradley said Childe’s expertise in cryptography, high-performance computing and quantum-resistant security will help support the company’s secure infrastructure as it expands its tokenization, valuation and data monetization platforms.

The appointment comes at a critical time as Datavault AI expands its data monetization platform, which leverages Web 3.0 and high-performance computing to provide solutions for experiential data perception, valuation and secure monetization. The company’s Data Science division focuses on the Information Data Exchange, which enables Digital Twins and the licensing of name, image and likeness by securely attaching physical real-world objects to immutable metadata. With Childe’s background in quantum-resistant technologies, Datavault AI aims to future-proof its platforms against emerging cybersecurity threats posed by quantum computing.

Childe’s experience in distributed-ledger technology and high-performance computing aligns with Datavault AI’s focus on real-world asset tokenization and secure data monetization. The company’s Acoustic Sciences division also features patented technologies in spatial and multichannel wireless sound transmission, serving industries such as sports, entertainment, biotech, education and healthcare. By strengthening its cybersecurity leadership, Datavault AI aims to build trust with clients and partners relying on its platforms for secure data handling and asset tokenization.

The appointment reflects the growing importance of cybersecurity in the AI and data monetization space, particularly as organizations face increasing regulatory scrutiny and sophisticated cyber threats. Datavault AI’s focus on quantum-resistant security is also timely, as the technology sector prepares for the eventual advent of quantum computers capable of breaking current encryption standards.
