As Dragon Con marks its 40th anniversary, Atlanta Hard Cider Co. & Distillery is toasting the occasion with two locally crafted products: Dragon Con Vodka and Dragon Con Apple Pie Craft Cider. The Marietta-based company is returning as the Official Vodka of Dragon Con for the second year, while the Apple Pie Cider is a new addition for 2026. These beverages will be available across the convention's downtown Atlanta footprint from September 3 to 7, enhancing the experience for the thousands of fans attending.
Founder Mark Deno emphasizes the local connection: "We make everything in Marietta, so there's something special about welcoming Dragon Con fans with products made right here. This partnership lets us share a little more of Atlanta with people coming from all over the world." The collaboration underscores the economic and cultural impact of Dragon Con, which draws visitors from across the globe and boosts local businesses.
Fans can find the products at major host hotels. At the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, they'll be available at the Lobby Market, seven branded satellite bars, and Twenty-Two Storys Lobby Bar, where guests can also try The 1986, a specialty cocktail. The Hilton Atlanta will feature both products at The MarketPlace, along with a Dragon Con Bundle that includes a bottle of vodka and four Filthy Bloody Mary pouches. Trader Vic's will host a tasting and promotion on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. The Westin Peachtree Plaza will serve cocktails and cider at Bar 210, with cider available via room service. The Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown and Max Lager's Wood-Fired Grill & Brewery will also offer the products.
Beyond the hotels, Dragon Con events will showcase the spirits. The Red Phone Booth will transform into a Doctor Who-inspired experience, featuring a collectible comic-book-style cocktail menu that includes Dragon Con Vodka, Apple Pie Cider, and Short Barrel's Dragon Con Whiskey. The Dragon Con Cigar Group Kickoff on Thursday and the Parade Watch Party and Disco Breakfast on Saturday will also feature the beverages. Fans can follow @atldistillery and @atlantahardcider for updates on additional tastings and activations.
For those wanting to take the experience home, the products are available at several Atlanta retailers, including Peachtree Package Store, Sol's Liquor, Green's on Ponce, Publix at Piedmont, and Kroger on Ponce de Leon Avenue. Online ordering is available at DragonConSpirits.com through September 30, while supplies last.
This initiative not only celebrates a beloved convention but also highlights the growing trend of local partnerships that boost regional tourism and small businesses. By aligning with Dragon Con, Atlanta Hard Cider Co. & Distillery strengthens its brand presence and contributes to the city's vibrant convention scene, making the anniversary memorable for fans and locals alike.
