Elementera Secures Investment from Amazon AI Scientist to Advance AI Visibility Suite

Elementera AI, a company specializing in helping brands gain visibility in AI-driven platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, announced a new angel investment from a Principal AI Scientist at Amazon who works on large language model research. The investment signals confidence in Elementera's product suite, Lenz and Prizm, which are designed to optimize brand presence in AI answer engines.

The investor, who has followed Elementera Co-founder and CEO Maziar Gomrokchi's work since his early days as a PhD researcher, highlighted the technical strength of Elementera's founding team and the foresight that AI visibility and answer engine optimization (AEO) will become increasingly critical as users shift from traditional search queries to AI-driven answers. 'Elementera is one of the few companies truly built for this moment,' the investor said. 'The team combines deep AI research experience with a clear understanding of where search, discovery, and brand visibility are heading. I believe their Lenz and Prizm products are positioned to play a leading role in the AI visibility market over the next three to five years.'

Gomrokchi traces the origins of Elementera to a 2016 conference, ICML 2016, held at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, New York. At that time, deep learning was beginning to reshape the technology industry, and major companies like Google, Microsoft, Meta, and OpenAI were actively recruiting researchers. Gomrokchi received several summer offers, including one from OpenAI, which was then a small team working on open AI models. Reflecting on the experience, Gomrokchi noted that the early work at OpenAI was a precursor to models like GPT and ChatGPT. He envisioned that AI would fundamentally change how people search, compare, and make decisions, leading to the creation of Elementera. 'That belief is what Elementera is built on,' Gomrokchi said. 'I put together a team of AI researchers, engineers, and product leaders to build the tools businesses need to stay visible and trusted as AI-driven search and discovery takes over from traditional search.'

Elementera's products, Lenz and Prizm, help brands understand and improve how they are interpreted, described, and cited across AI answer engines. The company, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, was founded by a team of AI veterans from Microsoft, Shopify, IBM, Mila, and UC Berkeley. As the landscape of search and discovery evolves, Elementera's focus on AI visibility and AEO positions it to meet the needs of businesses adapting to generative engine optimization (GEO).
