Engineer Gold Mines Commences 2026 Exploration Program on Engineer Gold Project in British Columbia

Engineer Gold Mines Ltd. (TSX-V: EAU | OTC: EGMLF | WKN: A3EEVJ) has announced that its 2026 Phase I exploration program is now underway on its wholly owned Engineer Gold Project, located 30 kilometers southwest of Atlin in northwestern British Columbia. The project encompasses 18,319 hectares across a 25-kilometer contiguous claim block, hosting the historic Engineer Gold Mine, the TAG Property, and the Wann River Prospect, among numerous other mineral occurrences.

The Phase I program includes soil and rock sampling at the Engineer Mine, soil geochemistry at the TAG Property, and an in-depth core review and resampling of historical drill core from TAG. The company is fully permitted to proceed with a Phase II program comprising diamond drilling, excavator trenching, and induced polarization geophysical surveys in the Engineer Mine area, with details to be announced upon finalization.

The Engineer Gold Mine is a past-producing underground operation with historical production between 1910 and 1952 totaling approximately 14,263 tonnes grading 39.4 g/t gold and 19.5 g/t silver (BC Minfile 104M014). Phase I work aims to expand high-grade gold mineralization and adjacent bulk tonnage targets along strike of previously identified structural corridors, Shear A and Shear B, which have been traced by geophysics and geochemistry for over three kilometers south of the mine.

At the TAG Property, located six kilometers north of the Engineer Mine, the company is conducting a rigorous core review and infill sampling program. Historical drilling from 2006 to 2008 completed 11,520 meters of diamond drilling in 69 holes (Fekete and Simper (2009), Fekete and Skinner (2007); ARIS reports #30931 and #29581). Recent on-site core re-examination revealed that several drill intercepts crossing the mineralized trend were not fully sampled, and samples were not collected adjacent to significant gold values. Infill and expanded sampling will enable a detailed model to target potential expansion and facilitate an updated resource estimate for TAG. Additional soil geochemical sampling is planned to test for a subparallel second mineralizing structure indicated by anomalous gold and silver values uphill from known mineralization.

The Engineer Project hosts multiple mineralization styles, including high-grade epithermal gold-silver veins, polymetallic veins, and structurally controlled bulk tonnage gold systems. The Phase I program is designed to build on historical results and advance the project toward resource delineation.
