The Georgia Latino Film Alliance (GALFA) has announced that the 15th Annual Georgia Latino International Film Festival (GALIFF) will take place from September 30 through October 4, 2026, at Atlanta's historic Fox Theatre. This milestone edition, described as a quinceañera, will feature five days of film screenings, red carpets, cultural programming, and community events. In a significant move, Mexico has been named the 2026 Country of Honor, highlighting the global influence of Mexican cinema.
For fifteen years, GALIFF has evolved from a bold vision into one of the Southeast's premier Latino film festivals. It has championed independent filmmakers, amplified underrepresented voices, and connected Georgia audiences with stories from across Latin America and the world. The festival has served as a launching pad for emerging artists and a gathering place for industry leaders, fostering a cultural home for communities whose stories deserve the biggest screen.
Yvette Moise, Co-Founder and President of GALFA/GALIFF, emphasized the significance of the anniversary: "This Quinceañera is more than an anniversary, it's a celebration of every filmmaker, volunteer, sponsor, and audience member who believed in our mission.
