Award-winning author Gina Iafrate has announced that the ebook version of her romantic fiction novel, The English Professor, will be available at no charge on October 19 and 20, 2026, at Amazon. The promotion offers readers a chance to begin Iafrate's Strong Women series without cost, potentially broadening the audience for a collection of novels that explore love, loss, and resilience across generations and continents.
The English Professor introduces Andrew Robertson, an introverted, middle-aged professor who leaves his unremarkable London life for Sicily, where he becomes infatuated with another man's wife. Their affair produces a child, but Andrew must return to London while Francesca must protect herself and their daughter from her violent husband. The novel is the first in a trilogy that continues with The Professor's Daughter and Love and Betrayal, following Gracy Robertson as she navigates the consequences of her parents' love affair, including mob threats and personal heartbreak.
The free ebook promotion matters because it lowers the barrier for new readers to enter a series that has earned recognition, including a 2016 Book Excellence Award Finalist honor for Iafrate. By making the first book available at no charge, the author and publisher can attract readers who might then purchase the subsequent novels, a common strategy in digital publishing to build readership and generate word-of-mouth. The move also signals confidence in the series' appeal and could increase visibility for Iafrate's broader catalog, which includes titles such as The Girl From The Cornfield, Bestowed By Love And Splendour, and Releases From My Soul.
Iafrate's writing is characterized by sweeping family sagas with rich, tactile descriptions of exotic locales, allowing readers to travel globally without leaving home. Her storytelling has been compared to that of Nicholas Sparks and John Grisham, and her works have been exhibited at The Pier 21 Museum in Halifax and featured in Phoenix Magazine, The Horizon, and Author's Voice. The free offering of The English Professor may serve as an entry point for readers to discover her entire Strong Women series, which focuses on characters who overcome staggering odds to build lives that can serve as models for women everywhere.
For those interested in exploring Iafrate's work, the author's Amazon page at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Gina-Iafrate/author/B00MRZ8Y9A provides access to her books, and additional information is available at her website, http://www.ginaiafrate.com. The free ebook promotion on October 19 and 20 represents a strategic opportunity for readers to engage with a series that combines romance, suspense, and inspirational themes, and for the author to expand her reach in a competitive digital marketplace.
