HKTDC to Open Seven Lifestyle and Licensing Mega Events Next Week, Highlighting Hong Kong's Role as Creative Hub

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will launch seven annual lifestyle and licensing mega events next week, running from 27 to 30 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and AsiaWorld-Expo. The events include the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home InStyle, Fashion InStyle, Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Licensing Show, and the Asian Licensing Conference. These fairs aim to leverage Hong Kong's unique connectivity between the Chinese Mainland and international markets, reinforcing the city's position as a regional creative hub and international business centre, while aligning with the national 15th Five-Year Plan and dual circulation development strategy.

Jenny Koo, HKTDC Deputy Executive Director, stated: "The HKTDC has long facilitated trade exchanges across industries through organising a wide range of conferences and exhibitions, fulfilling Hong Kong's roles as a super connector and super value-adder while showcasing its strengths in new quality productive forces, product quality and creativity." The events are expected to attract some 5,600 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions, including first-time participants from Finland, Germany, Iceland, the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan. New pavilions from regions such as Xinjiang, Wuhan, Shanxi, Jilin, and Zhejiang will also debut, offering buyers diverse sourcing options.

In response to market trends, HKCEC Hall 5 has been transformed into a Reimagine themed floor, seamlessly connecting the innovative, design, and cultural creative elements of the Gifts & Premium Fair and Home InStyle. This floor features highlighted zones such as the Selection of ASEAN, The Bespoke Hub, and the Hong Kong Smart Design Global Awards, as well as the Cultural and Creative Avenue and Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion. The Cultural and Creative Avenue partners with Pantone, using the PANTONE 2026 Colour of the Year 'Cloud Dancer' to curate home décor settings. The Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion, funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission, showcases innovative materials for homeware and home textiles for the first time, addressing the growing silver economy.

Fashion InStyle will feature multiple zones, including the highlighted NEXT@Fashion InStyle zone, sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA). This year, the Philippines is the featured partner, with over 25 exhibitors showcasing local fashion materials. The zone also includes exhibitors from Nordic countries such as Iceland, Finland, and Sweden. Han Chong, founder of Self-Portrait, returns as project ambassador, leading six local designer brands in cross-disciplinary design projects. The completed designs will be unveiled at the NEXT Fashion Parade on 28 April.

The Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong will present the latest trends in smart technology and green packaging, including RFID and anti-counterfeiting technologies, as well as plant-based packaging materials. The Hong Kong International Licensing Show will feature over 600 brands and IPs, including Bandai Namco, Doraemon, and LINE FRIENDS. A new IP and e-Commerce Support Services Zone will help brands expand into e-commerce markets. The Asian Licensing Conference will explore topics such as global licensing trends, the emotional economy, and sports licensing.

All events will adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid format, utilizing AI-driven tools like Click2Match for business matching and a new SmartBot service for on-site navigation. For more information, visit the HKTDC website at www.hktdc.com/aboutus.
