The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will stage four flagship technology fairs in October 2026, drawing some 6,200 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions. The events—the 46th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and the 29th electronicAsia, the 11th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, and the 28th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition)—will showcase cutting-edge solutions spanning consumer electronics, artificial intelligence, robotics, future industries, smart lighting and smart city applications. The scale and scope of the fairs underscore Hong Kong's role as a two-way global investment and business hub, particularly as the city seeks to accelerate its development as an international innovation and technology centre.
At a press conference introducing the fairs, HKTDC Associate Executive Director Silas Chu said the Hong Kong SAR Government's latest Policy Address and first Five-Year Plan emphasise consolidating Hong Kong's status as an international trade centre and advancing AI adoption. In support of these strategic directions, the HKTDC is introducing new elements, including a Future Industries Zone at the Autumn Electronics Fair and expanded showcases for AI and robotics. A dedicated GoGlobal Connect Zone will provide advisory services to help Chinese Mainland enterprises leverage Hong Kong as a platform for international expansion. The two lighting fairs will focus on smart connectivity, healthy living, immersive spatial experiences and sustainability.
The Autumn Electronics Fair and electronicAsia, held concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 13 to 16 October, will bring together over 3,200 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions. The new Future Industries Zone, supported by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau and jointly organised with the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association, will focus on five themes: Future Computing, Future Manufacturing, Future Marine & Quantum Technologies, Future Microelectronics and Future Wellness. More than 100 exhibitors, including Lenovo, AV Concept and GP Energy Tech, will present innovations. The fair will also feature a start-up pitching competition and forums on technology talent development.
The GoGlobal Connect Zone will host forums such as “Scaling Smart Consumer Innovations Worldwide,” featuring representatives from the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation, TechNode and Hang Seng Bank. These sessions will cover market entry, financing, risk management and compliance. OCBC Bank (Hong Kong) will share insights on the ASEAN manufacturing ecosystem, helping companies understand regional economic environments and tax policies.
Highlighted themes at the Electronics Fair include AI & Robotics, Smart Wellness and NEXTEntertainment. More than 120 robots will be showcased, primarily in RoboPark, demonstrating applications in commercial services, industrial logistics, entertainment and healthcare. Exhibitors include AgiBot, Shenzhen Honor Smart Technology, Booster Robotics and UBTECH. RoboPark will feature interactive experiences such as robot dog demonstrations, a robot football exhibition and a robot dance battle. The Smart Wellness theme will cover digital health devices, smart wearables and gerontech, while NEXTEntertainment will feature extended reality, smart gaming and AI-powered entertainment solutions.
The twin lighting fairs, under the theme “Beyond Illumination,” will bring together some 3,000 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions. The Autumn Lighting Fair, at the HKCEC from 27 to 30 October, will feature the Hall of Connected Lighting with more than 60 leading brands, including Signify, Casambi and TUYA. Signify will collaborate with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team to present a racing simulator experience. A new LED Display Solution Zone will foster a commercial LED display ecosystem, with first-time exhibitor Ledman Hong Kong presenting its QS Series IceScreen LED Display, deployed at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, at AsiaWorld-Expo from 26 to 29 October, will focus on smart city lighting trends, with exhibitor Fonda Technology showcasing intelligent lighting solutions based on its FondaCity AIoT Cloud Platform.
The fairs will adopt the HKTDC's EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, combining physical and online participation. The online exhibition period for the Electronics Fair and electronicAsia will run from 6 to 23 October, while the lighting fairs' online exhibitions will be available from 19 October to 6 November.
