Infrastructure Capital Launches Nasdaq Option Income ETF (QVOL) in Partnership with Nasdaq

Infrastructure Capital Advisors (ICA) announced the launch of the Infrastructure Capital Nasdaq Option Income ETF (QVOL), a new actively managed exchange-traded fund listed on the Nasdaq. The fund aims to provide investors with high monthly income and capital appreciation through exposure to companies in the Nasdaq Composite Index.

QVOL distinguishes itself from competitor buy-write and option overlay strategies by actively managing both its equity portfolio and option activity in tandem. The fund seeks to capture upside while generating premiums from option writing. Unlike many competitor funds that deploy systematic, long-duration option writing strictly on an index, QVOL dynamically captures option premiums on companies it believes are overvalued. It uses short-duration option activity to limit the potential upside cap from option writing, allowing greater participation in market upside.

The fund's flexible equity allocation enables it to select investments across the Nasdaq Composite Index. Because the Nasdaq-100 and Nasdaq Composite are highly correlated, QVOL provides exposure to major technology companies, including the Magnificent Seven, while offering more investment opportunities across the broader composite. The team at ICA believes this flexibility will support QVOL's performance.

QVOL employs ICA's active management approach, selecting investments based on quantitative, qualitative, and relative valuation factors. The fund may favor lower relative-priced stocks or companies with higher profitability compared to their index representation. When evaluating securities, ICA considers enterprise values, capital ratios, and key financial ratios such as price-to-cash flow and price-to-earnings ratios.

Infrastructure Capital's investment philosophy for QVOL is driven by discipline, applied consistently, and centered around risk management. Transactions are executed only after considering the investment time horizon and portfolio positioning. Sell discipline factors include excessive valuation, opportunities to shift to more favorable investments, and changes in the company's fundamental position.

QVOL joins ICA's existing ETF lineup, which includes the Infrastructure Capital Bond Income ETF (NYSE Arca: BNDS), Infrastructure Capital Small Cap Income ETF (NYSE Arca: SCAP), Virtus U.S. Preferred Stock ETF (NYSE Arca: PFFA), REIT Preferred ETF (NYSE Arca: PFFR), InfraCap MLP ETF (NYSE Arca: AMZA), and the Infrastructure Capital Equity Income ETF (NYSE Arca: ICAP).
