Bestselling and award-winning author Jody Sharpe has announced that her latest book about angels, New Angel In Town, will be available at no charge in ebook form on September 26 and 27, 2026, at Amazon. The novel is the seventh installment in her Mystic Bay series, which has captivated readers with its unique premise: a town where angels live as humans and miracles unfold in everyday life. This free promotion not only gives new readers an entry point into the series but also underscores the enduring appeal of Sharpe's uplifting storytelling at a time when audiences increasingly seek comfort and hope in fiction.
New Angel In Town follows Guardian Angel Ron as he descends to Mystic Bay to ensure his charge, Evan, a boy in foster care, finds a forever home. Meanwhile, writer Noah Greenstreet is crafting a film showcasing the townsfolk's angel encounters, and with twists, turns, and a bully to turn around, Angel Ron must decide whether to remain in the harmonious community. The book is based on real-life angel stories Sharpe has collected over the years, fictionalized and embedded throughout the narrative. This blending of the ethereal and the everyday is a hallmark of Sharpe's work, offering readers a sense of wonder and a reminder that love and goodwill can prevail.
Reviewers have lavished praise on the new release. One Amazon reviewer called it "a masterclass in child advocacy, true love, & angel-ology," adding that "the concept of angels living among us as humans is handled with such grace and wit." Another noted that "the angel experiences shared in the book seem real and remind the reader of the meaning of love and how it can change lives." Such responses highlight why this free ebook event matters: it makes these themes accessible to a wider audience, potentially inspiring readers to reflect on kindness and community in their own lives.
Sharpe's impact extends beyond her books. She was a first-place winner of the 2023 and 2024 National Association of Press Women's Communications Contest awards for fiction, and she continues to actively seek real-life angel stories, which can be submitted through her website at https://jodysharpe.com. Accepted stories may be featured on her YouTube channel and in future books. This ongoing engagement with her readership creates a participatory community, turning individual experiences into shared narratives that fuel her creative output. The free ebook promotion is therefore not just a marketing tactic but a way to invite more people into that conversation.
In addition to the ebook giveaway, Sharpe has released the audiobook version of her bestselling novel 20 Moon Road, An Angel's Tale, with more audiobooks to follow. The expansion into audio formats signals her commitment to reaching readers across different mediums, accommodating diverse preferences and lifestyles. For those who prefer print or digital, both versions of New Angel In Town are available at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Jody-Sharpe/author/B00DPL3382?. This multi-format strategy ensures that the series can be enjoyed by a broad audience, from busy commuters to traditional book lovers.
The significance of this announcement lies in its potential to spread messages of hope and compassion at a time when such themes are sorely needed. By offering New Angel In Town for free, Sharpe lowers the barrier to entry, allowing more readers to experience the Mystic Bay phenomenon. The book's focus on child advocacy, as noted by reviewers, also brings attention to the needs of foster children, subtly encouraging empathy and action. In a literary landscape often dominated by darker themes, Sharpe's angel-inspired fiction stands out as a beacon of positivity, and this promotion ensures that light reaches further.
