Leadership Transition at hep global: Martin Vogt Appointed CEO as Christian Hamann Moves to CFO

hep global, a specialist in solar project development and battery energy storage systems (BESS), has restructured its management team, effective immediately. Martin Vogt, 44, has taken over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding company founder Christian Hamann, 55, who stepped down from the CEO role at his own request after nearly 17 years. Hamann will remain with the management team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a position he has held since May 2026. The transition, carefully prepared over the long term, underscores hep global's commitment to continuity in corporate leadership and a clear distribution of management responsibilities.

Vogt has been with the hep global Group since early 2024, most recently serving as Chief Project Officer, where he oversaw global project development and played a key role in the strategic and operational advancement of the project business. As CEO, he will guide the company through its next phase of development, focusing on strengthening its position as a reliable partner for solar and battery storage projects. Georg von Eichendorff Strachwitz continues as Chief Operating Officer (COO), a role he has held since 2021, rounding out the management team. Hamann, as CFO, will concentrate on the company's financial management.

“I am very grateful for the trust of our employees, customers, and partners over the past 17 years,” said Christian Hamann. “As an international developer of solar energy projects, we have made a significant contribution to the energy transition since our founding. Martin Vogt is a leader who knows our company, our markets, and our strategic priorities very well. At the same time, I will remain closely connected to hep global as CFO and will focus on the company’s financial management. This allows us to establish clear lines of responsibility while ensuring continuity in corporate leadership.”

Martin Vogt expressed his gratitude: “I would like to thank our founders, Christian Hamann and Thorsten Eitle, as well as the other shareholders, for their trust and their extraordinary contribution to building and successfully establishing our company. hep global has many years of experience in the international development of solar energy projects and an established platform in our core markets. In recent years, we have consistently adapted our organizational and cost structures to changing market conditions. In doing so, we have laid the groundwork for the next phase of development. Our focus remains clear: We want to further strengthen our position as a reliable partner for the development of solar and battery storage projects. To this end, we are committed to continuity in our strategy and management, a focus on our core European markets, and targeted new growth initiatives.”

The hep global Group is an internationally active specialist in the development of solar projects and battery energy storage systems (BESS). For more than 15 years, the owner-managed company from Baden-Württemberg has been developing and planning renewable energy projects, mainly in Europe, Japan, and North America.
