(NASDAQ: LGMK), a provider of personal emergency response systems and health communication devices, has announced the launch of new AI-powered caregiver tools that integrate multiple data sets to enable predictive decision-making. The company’s approach aims to transform caregiving from reactive to proactive by analyzing data such as falls, emergency calls, daily steps, active time, and medication adherence.
According to LogicMark, caregivers often lack comprehensive information about aging adults living independently, particularly regarding medication adherence and movement patterns. By combining data from its devices, the company seeks to identify subtle changes that may indicate emerging health issues. For instance, a decline in daily steps coupled with delays in taking medication could signal mobility problems, while missed doses and reduced activity might indicate cognitive decline.
The company’s Freedom Alert Max device, part of its medical alert system, collects real-time data and includes features such as fall detection, geofencing, GPS tracking, two-way communication, and now medication management and activity metrics. It is the first medical alert device to integrate medication reminders directly, eliminating the need for separate smartphone apps. Caregivers can enter medication schedules through the Care Village app, and the device sends reminders. If a user fails to respond, the system logs the event and processes the data through proprietary AI algorithms to recognize patterns that could contribute to falls or emergencies.
LogicMark also utilizes its patent-pending Care Village Digital Twin technology, which creates a virtual mirror of the user. The digital twin analyzes data to predict future outcomes, enabling caregivers to take preventive steps. By integrating these advanced tools, LogicMark aims to empower caregivers to spot issues early and give older adults the confidence to live independently.
