LoLo Care Launches Innovative Home Care Marketplace in North Carolina’s Triangle Region

RALEIGH, N.C. — As the Baby Boomer generation ages and family caregivers face increasing burdens, a new service aims to ease the process of arranging home care. LoLo Care, a marketplace and coordination platform, has officially launched in North Carolina’s Triangle Region, offering families in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill a novel approach to non-medical in-home support.

The platform allows families to select independent caregivers for services such as companionship, meal preparation, errands, rides, light housekeeping, and respite care. Unlike traditional agencies, LoLo Care requires no contracts or minimum hours, with bookings starting at just one hour at a transparent rate of $30 per hour. Of that, $27 goes directly to the caregiver, ensuring fair compensation. The platform already lists over 300 caregivers and aims to serve thousands of families needing support.

Charles Petrini-Poli, Co-Founder and CEO, emphasized the empowerment this gives families. “Our platform streamlines the home care process, enabling families to manage scheduling, updates, and payments all in one place,” he said. “This ensures peace of mind while keeping everyone updated on the care being provided.”

The service addresses a critical gap in the home care industry. By 2030, all Baby Boomers will be 65 or older, and according to AARP and the National Alliance for Caregiving, one in four adults already acts as a caregiver. Geographic distances further complicate coordination. Traditional agencies often rely on manual processes and high overhead, leading to waitlists and missed visits. LoLo Care offers a tech-enabled alternative that reduces these inefficiencies.

Families can evaluate caregivers through detailed profiles that include identity verification, background-check status, experience, ratings, and offered services. A central family coordination hub allows relatives to share calendars, invite members, and review caregiver visit notes, relieving the administrative burden on adult children. This feature provides shared visibility after each visit, whether siblings live nearby or across the country.

While the service is currently exclusive to Wake County, including Raleigh and surrounding areas, this launch marks the first step in a nationwide expansion. By eliminating agency constraints and offering a user-friendly digital experience, LoLo Care aims to redefine home care coordination. The company’s mission is to make aging at home stress-free, dignifying, and transparent, giving families direct control and caregivers fair, empowering work.
