MAX Power Mining (CSE: MAXX) (OTC: MAXXF) (FRANKFURT: 89N) has accelerated the start date of incoming CEO and Director Ranjith Narayanasamy to Dec. 1, 2025, one week earlier than previously announced. The move comes as the company begins targeted zone testing at its Lawson site, which represents Canada's first deep well drilled specifically for Natural Hydrogen. The company is also progressing a fully funded second well at Bracken within its expansive 1.3-million-acre Natural Hydrogen land package.
This leadership transition underscores the company's commitment to advancing its Natural Hydrogen exploration program. Outgoing CEO Mansoor Jan will move to lead the company's U.S. subsidiary, Homeland Critical Minerals, ensuring continuity across the organization. The accelerated start date allows Narayanasamy to oversee critical drilling operations as the company moves toward its Q4 2025 drilling targets.
The Lawson and Bracken wells are part of MAX Power's strategy to establish a dominant position in the Natural Hydrogen sector. Natural Hydrogen, also known as white or gold hydrogen, is generated naturally through geological processes and is considered a potential low-carbon energy source. MAX Power holds approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large volume accumulations of Natural Hydrogen. High priority initial drill target areas have been identified for commencement of drilling in Q4 2025.
In addition to its Natural Hydrogen assets, MAX Power maintains a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals. Notably, the company made a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona. This diversification positions the company to capitalize on multiple trends in the energy transition.
The Natural Hydrogen sector has garnered increasing attention as a potential clean energy source. Unlike conventional hydrogen production, which requires energy-intensive processes like electrolysis or steam methane reforming, natural hydrogen can be extracted directly from underground reservoirs.
