MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) announced the acquisition of provincial permits covering an additional 660,263 acres, or 2,672 square kilometers, across south-central Saskatchewan. This expansion increases the company's total permitted holdings by more than 50% to approximately 2 million acres across 12 projects.
The newly permitted areas include the 628-square-kilometer Aurora Project, which adjoins the existing Lawson project, creating a contiguous 90-kilometer corridor. This corridor is strategically positioned near highway, rail, heavy industry, and emerging artificial intelligence infrastructure, offering potential for multiple natural hydrogen discoveries and multiple commercialization pathways.
MAX Power also added the Ogema and Kyle projects, expanded the Grasslands Project through the Fox Valley target area, and secured additional permits at Lawson, Radville, and Tribune. The company continues commercial-validation drilling at Lawson Complex #1, Canada's first confirmed subsurface natural hydrogen system. Concurrently, MAX Power and independent consultant GLJ Ltd. are reviewing data from the newly permitted areas.
The expansion underscores MAX Power's commitment to establishing a dominant position in Saskatchewan's natural hydrogen sector. The company's Lawson Discovery near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, represents Canada's first-ever subsurface natural hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling, with data validated by three independent labs. MAX Power now holds approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of natural hydrogen.
In addition to its hydrogen portfolio, MAX Power holds properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals. These include a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, which is 100%-owned by MAX Power's U.S. subsidiary. The company is committed to responsible exploration and development practices that prioritize environmental stewardship, meaningful community engagement, and strong corporate governance.
