MAX Power Mining Named Finalist for Three Awards at 2026 Canadian Hydrogen Convention

MAX Power Mining (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has announced that the company and CEO Ran Narayanasamy have been selected as finalists for three awards to be presented at the 2026 Canadian Hydrogen Convention in Edmonton, scheduled for April 21-23. MAX Power is a finalist for both the Hydrogen Project Award and the Digital Innovation Award, while Narayanasamy has been nominated for the Emerging Hydrogen Leader Award. Additionally, Narayanasamy will moderate the convention’s first panel discussion on natural hydrogen exploration in Canada on April 22, underscoring the company’s leadership role in advancing its Saskatchewan Natural Hydrogen Project.

The nominations reflect MAX Power’s significant progress in the natural hydrogen sector. The company is a first mover in this rapidly growing industry, having built dominant district-scale land positions across Saskatchewan with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits, plus an additional 5.7 million acres under application. These holdings cover prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of natural hydrogen. Notably, Canada’s first-ever well specifically targeting natural hydrogen was drilled by MAX Power at the Lawson target on the Genesis Trend, confirming a working subsurface system.

Beyond hydrogen, MAX Power holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals. These properties are highlighted by a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, 100%-owned by MAX Power’s U.S. subsidiary Homeland Critical Minerals Corp. The company’s diverse asset base positions it to play a key role in the energy transition and decarbonization efforts.

The 2026 Canadian Hydrogen Convention is a key industry event that brings together stakeholders from across the hydrogen value chain. Being named a finalist for multiple awards, including the Hydrogen Project Award and Digital Innovation Award, underscores MAX Power’s innovative approach and its potential to contribute to Canada’s hydrogen economy. The Emerging Hydrogen Leader Award nomination for CEO Ran Narayanasamy further highlights the company’s leadership in the sector.
