MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) announced that President and Director Chad Levesque will present at IMAGE '26 – International Meeting for Applied Geoscience & Energy on Aug. 19 in Houston. Levesque will provide an overview of Canada's first confirmed Natural Hydrogen system at the Lawson Complex in south-central Saskatchewan and ongoing drilling aimed at delineating what the company describes as the world's first large-scale commercial discovery of a new primary energy source.
The Lawson Complex is advancing through a multi-well commercial validation program designed to define the system's scale, continuity, reservoir characteristics and commercial potential. The first well in the program, Lawson 2, encountered approximately 860 meters of continuous elevated Natural Hydrogen readings, including the highest readings recorded to date at Lawson, while providing evidence of an enhanced fracture system within the Precambrian basement complex. Drilling has since advanced to Lawson 3, which is positioned to provide a third data point as MAX Power works to better understand the deposit's potential volume.
The significance of this presentation lies in the potential of Natural Hydrogen as a clean, primary energy source. Unlike hydrogen produced through industrial processes, Natural Hydrogen is found in the subsurface and can be extracted directly, offering a low-carbon alternative that could reduce reliance on fossil fuels. The Lawson discovery, if proven commercially viable, could position Canada as a leader in this emerging sector and attract significant investment.
MAX Power has built dominant district-scale land positions across Saskatchewan with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of Natural Hydrogen. The company's strategic focus on Natural Hydrogen aligns with global decarbonization goals, and the presentation at IMAGE '26 provides a platform to engage with industry experts, potential partners, and investors.
The company also holds a portfolio of critical mineral properties, including the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in Arizona, which produced a diamond drilling discovery in 2024. This diversification across energy and minerals underscores MAX Power's commitment to supporting the transition to a sustainable energy future.
As MAX Power continues to validate the Lawson system, the outcomes of its drilling program could have far-reaching implications for the energy industry. If successful, it could pave the way for a new energy economy centered on Natural Hydrogen, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing energy security. The presentation at IMAGE '26 is a key opportunity for the company to showcase its progress and share insights with the global geoscience community.
