McEwen Mining Reports High-Grade Drill Results from Froome Mine, Extending Mineralization 100 Meters Vertically

McEwen Mining Inc. (NYSE: MUX) (TSX: MUX) has reported new high-grade drill results from the Froome Mine at the Fox Complex in Timmins, Ontario, where four drills are now active at Froome West to pursue further expansion. The drilling extended higher-grade gold mineralization by 100 meters vertically, representing a 45% increase since July 2025, and confirmed that mineralization remains open at depth. Results also expanded gold zones up to 50 meters west and returned strong grades near existing underground infrastructure, supporting potential mine life extension, improved economics, and additional mining flexibility beginning in 2026.

The high-grade intercepts include 28.4 g/t gold over 3.0 meters, 17.5 g/t over 3.2 meters, and 88.4 g/t over 0.9 meters. These results are from step-out drilling aimed at expanding the resource base. The Froome Mine is part of the Fox Complex, which has been a significant producer for McEwen. The company notes that the new findings could positively impact the mine's production profile and overall project value.

McEwen Mining provides shareholders with exposure to gold, copper, and silver in the Americas through its three mines located in the USA, Canada, and Argentina, and its large advanced-stage copper development project in Argentina. It also has a gold and silver mine on care and maintenance in Mexico. The company's Los Azules copper project aims to become one of the world's first regenerative copper mines and is committed to carbon neutrality by 2038.

These results are significant as they indicate the potential to extend the mine life and improve the economics of the Froome Mine, which is a key asset for McEwen Mining. The expansion of mineralization at depth and to the west suggests that the resource base is larger than previously modeled, which could lead to increased production and cash flow in the coming years.
