ChillyRoom Game's independent studio Crit Team has announced the release of a public multiplayer demo for No Such Place, its upcoming top-down PvE extraction shooter. The demo is available on Steam as of June 15, 2026, just ahead of Steam Next Fest. It supports solo play and 1–4 player online co-op, with partial progression data carrying over into the full release scheduled for Q4 2026.
In No Such Place, players assume the role of agents from the Unknown Research Consortium (U.R.C.), an organization dedicated to investigating supernatural anomalies erased from history. Players are dispatched into fragmented dimensions to survive hostile environments, gather supplies and intelligence, and extract before time runs out. The demo includes early progression content and supports English, Japanese, and Chinese languages.
The game features a flexible weapon customization system that allows players to combine parts from different eras and technologies, such as attaching a motorcycle suppressor to an assault rifle or mounting a Victorian brass scope on modern military hardware. According to the developer, in anomalous dimensions, compatibility no longer matters. Players can also grow stronger across multiple progression paths, with physical attributes and weapon proficiencies improving as they survive more missions.
Resources recovered during expeditions can be used to build and upgrade the player's Safehouse, turning scrap into a foundation for future survival. The demo emphasizes cooperative gameplay, with teams of up to four players able to coordinate roles, cover more ground, and maximize gains before extraction.
