Nordex Group Secures New U.S. Orders Totaling More Than 480 MW

The Nordex Group has announced that it has secured three new orders in the United States, with a combined capacity exceeding 480 megawatts (MW). The contracts include the supply of 81 N163/5.X turbines, though the names of the customers and projects have not been disclosed. These orders will be delivered according to customer-specific requirements and are set to further strengthen the company's foothold in the U.S. market.

Manav Sharma, CEO of Nordex North America, expressed gratitude for the new business, stating, "These new orders reflect once again the trust our customers place in Nordex and in our ability to deliver and service projects reliably and efficiently. We are grateful for that confidence. Driven by strong customer partnerships, the dedicated execution and service capabilities of our teams, and our robust manufacturing capabilities, we are seeing continued momentum in this region. Our focus remains on delivering value and supporting our customers’ long-term energy goals."

The turbines for these projects will be manufactured at the Nordex Group's production facility in Iowa, which is a key part of the company's U.S. operations. This manufacturing base allows for efficient logistics and supports the local economy.

These orders arrive at a time when the U.S. wind energy market is experiencing significant growth, driven by policy support and increasing demand for renewable energy. The Nordex Group's ability to secure multiple orders in this competitive landscape underscores its reputation for reliability and performance. The N163/5.X turbine is part of the company's Delta4000 series, known for its high efficiency and adaptability to various site conditions.

The Nordex Group has a long history in the wind industry, having commissioned more than 64 GW of wind power capacity across over 40 markets since 1985. In 2025, the company generated consolidated sales of around EUR 7.6 billion. With more than 11,100 employees and manufacturing facilities in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, and the USA, Nordex is well-positioned to meet global demand. Its product portfolio focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 7 MW+ classes, designed for markets with limited space and constrained grid capacity.

These new U.S. orders are a testament to the company's strategic focus on the North American market, which remains one of the largest and most dynamic wind energy markets globally. By expanding its presence here, Nordex aims to capitalize on the growing shift toward renewable energy and support the nation's clean energy transition.
