Ocumetics Technology Corp. (TSXV: OTC) (OTCQB: OTCFF) (FRA: 2QBO) announced that its clinical facility in Mexico City has started recruiting patients for Group Two of its ongoing human clinical study of its next-generation accommodating intraocular lens (the “Ocumetics Lens”). This milestone follows the successful completion of Group One surgeries, which focused solely on safety, and marks a critical step in advancing the lens toward potential commercialization.
The Group Two study will evaluate the safety, distance, and near vision performance of the Ocumetics Lens. Unlike Group One, which was primarily a safety trial, Group Two is designed to assess the functional outcomes of the lens, providing valuable data on its efficacy in restoring a full range of vision. The study will also incorporate the latest-generation Ocumetics Lens, implanted using an enhanced delivery system, reflecting ongoing technological refinements.
Patient recruitment is underway at the Mexico City facility, which previously conducted the Group One surgeries in Fall 2025.
