Ocumetics Technology Corp. (TSXV: OTC) (OTCQB: OTCFF) (FRA: 2QBO) reported highly encouraging six-month postoperative results from the first group of patients in its first-in-human (FIH) clinical study of the Ocumetics Accommodating Intraocular Lens. The clinical outcomes exceeded expectations, with all patients experiencing continuing vision improvements and a strong safety profile.
Six months after surgery, patients who received the Ocumetics Lens demonstrated improved vision and stable visual acuity. Notably, patients entered the study with severely impaired vision, including one individual considered legally blind. Anecdotally, all patients reported life-changing results, including the ability to read, drive, and live independently again.
