OLB Concludes Management Board Restructuring with Three Key Appointments

OLB, a universal bank with more than 150 years of history in north-west Germany, has completed the reconstitution of its Management Board effective 1 October 2026. The appointments, previously announced and now confirmed in coordination with supervisory authorities, bring a mix of internal continuity and external expertise to the bank’s top leadership. The move matters because OLB, with total assets exceeding EUR 30 billion, became a significant financial institution under direct European Central Bank supervision in early 2025, and since January 2026 has been owned by TARGO Deutschland GmbH, part of the cooperative Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale. The new board will steer the bank through its next phase of development, as the Supervisory Board chairwoman noted, leveraging proven leadership and complementary expertise.

Michael Fust has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Dr Rainer Polster, who left upon the expiry of his mandate on 30 September 2026. Fust joined OLB as General Representative in January 2026 and previously spent around 16 years at KPMG before becoming Head of Finance at TARGO Deutschland GmbH in July 2016. His deep familiarity with the bank’s financial operations and his audit background are expected to ensure stability in financial reporting and strategic planning.

Annett Daldrup takes over as Chief Risk Officer. She had been acting as General Representative of OLB since July 2026 and also served as General Representative of TARGO Deutschland GmbH since March 2026. Daldrup joined TARGOBANK in January 2025 as Chief Credit Officer Corporate Lending, assuming responsibility for credit risk management in the corporate banking business. Prior to that, she held positions at Airbus Bank GmbH and UniCredit Bank AG. Her appointment signals a continued focus on robust risk management, particularly as OLB expands its corporate lending activities.

Chris Eggert, previously Chief Risk Officer, has assumed the role of Chief Investment Officer. He is now responsible for cash flow-based financing activities within the Corporates & Diversified Lending segment, which includes Corporates, Acquisition Finance, Football Finance, Fund Finance, Export Finance, and Financing Solutions. Eggert, who was appointed Chief Risk Officer in June 2022 and had headed Credit Risk Management since 2018, is an experienced expert well known to clients and familiar with the market. His leadership is expected to drive further expansion of this strategic business area.

Following these changes, OLB’s Management Board consists of Christophe Jehan (Chief Executive Officer), Annett Daldrup (Chief Risk Officer), Chris Eggert (Chief Investment Officer), Michael Fust (Chief Financial Officer), and Dr Andreas Houben (Chief Sales Officer). Christian Bessenroth, a General Representative since April 2026, completes the Management Team and is responsible for asset-based financing activities within the Corporates & Diversified Lending segment, including Commercial Real Estate, International Diversified Lending, Shipping, and Renewables. He reports to Chris Eggert. Bessenroth joined OLB in October 2021 as Head of Corporate Real Estate & International Diversified Lending and previously worked for BAWAG Group.

The reconstituted board is positioned to lead OLB into its next phase, balancing continuity with fresh perspectives. With a nationwide network of 80 branches and around 1,700 employees, OLB serves about one million customers under the OLB and Bankhaus Neelmeyer brands.
