Quantum Art raises additional $40 million to advance its 1,000-qubit Perspective system and optical control technologies, signaling strong investor confidence in its scalable trapped-ion quantum computing architecture.

Quantum Art Extends Series A to $140 Million, Accelerating Quantum Computing Commercialization

Quantum Art, a developer of full-stack trapped-ion quantum computers, announced today that it has extended its Series A financing to $140 million, up from the $100 million announced in December 2025. The extension was led by Bedford Ridge Capital, with participation from new investors including Hudson Bay Capital, Poalim Equity, LIP Ventures, Wolverine Global Ventures, and IDA Ventures. The additional capital will accelerate development of Perspective, Quantum Art's 1,000-qubit multi-core system, and support advancements in 2D architecture and next-generation optical control technologies.

This funding round underscores the growing interest in quantum computing as a transformative technology. Quantum Art's approach uses trapped ions, which are considered one of the most promising platforms for building large-scale quantum computers due to their long coherence times and high gate fidelities. However, scaling trapped-ion systems to thousands of qubits has been a significant challenge. Quantum Art's Perspective system aims to overcome this by employing a multi-core architecture that connects multiple ion traps via optical interconnects, enabling modular scaling without sacrificing performance.

Quantum Art is also preparing to launch a Quantum as a Service (QaaS) offering, which will serve as a central pillar of its go-to-market strategy. The QaaS platform will allow customers to progress from algorithm exploration to execution on live quantum systems, bridging early-stage use-case development with scalable access to hardware. This staged model is designed to facilitate customer engagement and ultimately drive the commercialization of stand-alone quantum computing systems.
