SAF-HOLLAND Appoints Alexandre Charpiot as President EMEA

SAF-HOLLAND SE, a global supplier of trailer and truck components, has announced the appointment of Alexandre Charpiot as President EMEA, effective September 1, 2026. Charpiot will succeed Christoph Gunter, who is departing the company to take on a new leadership role outside the SAF-HOLLAND Group. The announcement, made via NewMediaWire, underscores the company's strategic focus on leadership continuity in its largest regional business.

Christoph Gunter, who served as President EMEA and member of the executive team for nearly seven years, played a pivotal role in shaping the region's development. His tenure included the successful integration of Haldex in the EMEA region and the cultivation of new growth opportunities in strategically important markets. Alexander Geis, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of SAF-HOLLAND SE, expressed gratitude for Gunter's contributions, stating, "Christoph Gunter has successfully led and further developed the EMEA region in recent years. On behalf of the entire management team, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to him for his trust and cooperation, and I wish him all the best and continued success in his professional and personal future."

Alexandre Charpiot, an experienced executive with over 15 years at SAF-HOLLAND, will take the helm of the EMEA region. Since joining the company in 2009, Charpiot has held various leadership positions in both original equipment and aftermarket businesses. His responsibilities have spanned logistics, purchasing, and product management. Since 2022, as Vice President Sales OEM EMEA, he has led sales activities in the original equipment business, overseen European subsidiaries, and played a key role in integrating Haldex, Tecma, and Assali Stefen. His extensive experience in the commercial vehicle industry, long-standing collaboration with international customers, and strong sales expertise position him well to continue the region's successful development.

In his new role, Charpiot will align the EMEA region with the strategic goals of the drive2030 strategy. The focus will be on further strengthening SAF-HOLLAND's market position, continuously optimizing operational performance, and systematically pursuing additional growth opportunities across the product portfolio. This leadership transition is crucial as the company seeks to build on its strong market positions in the top three positions globally, supported by brands such as SAF, Holland, Haldex, and Assali Stefen.

SAF-HOLLAND, with approximately 5,600 employees worldwide, generated sales of around EUR 1.73 billion in 2025. The company supplies manufacturers on six continents and serves the aftermarket through an extensive global distribution network. This appointment ensures continuity in leadership as SAF-HOLLAND navigates the evolving commercial vehicle landscape.
