SS Innovations International (NASDAQ: SSII) reported a 79% increase in cumulative procedures performed with its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system, reaching 14,103 as of Sept. 8, 2026, up from 7,885 at the end of 2025. The installed base of SSi Mantra systems grew 42% to 238 units from 168, now spanning 12 countries. Approximately 1,500 physicians have been trained on the platform, which has been used for more than 170 types of surgical procedures.
These figures underscore the company's rapid commercial traction and its mission to make robotic surgery more affordable and accessible worldwide. The expansion into new markets and procedure types highlights the versatility of the SSi Mantra system, which supports cardiac surgery among other specialties.
Recent international milestones include the launch of robotic cardiac surgery in Colombia, the installation of the first SSi Mantra in Sri Lanka, and the first telesurgery within the Philippines. The company also reported 258 cumulative pediatric robotic surgeries and 188 robotic telesurgeries as of Aug. 31, including a telesurgery spanning more than 13,600 miles between Colombia and India. In August, five SSi Mantra systems were used to complete 50 robotic general surgery procedures in a single day in India.
Looking ahead, SS Innovations expects the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to complete its review of the SSi Mantra 510(k) premarket notification by the end of the first quarter of 2027 and believes European Union CE marking certification can be obtained by year-end 2026. These regulatory milestones are critical for the company's expansion into high-value markets and could significantly accelerate adoption if achieved.
