SS Innovations' SSi Mantra Surgical Robotic System Gets Nod for Telesurgeries in Indonesia and the Philippines

SS Innovations International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSII) announced on March 18, 2026, that its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system has been approved for telesurgeries in Indonesia and the Philippines. The company also reported surpassing 150 cumulative telesurgeries successfully performed with the system, primarily in India.

The approval marks a significant expansion of the SSi Mantra's telesurgery capabilities into Southeast Asia, following its use in India where recent milestones include 18 inter-hospital telesurgeries performed between Indore and Bhopal on February 14, 2026. These procedures included 13 gastric bypasses by Dr. Mohit Bhandari from Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics in Indore and 5 complex gynecological surgeries by Dr. Priya Bhave Chittawar from HER Health Hospital in Bhopal, all conducted using the SSi MantrAsana Tele Surgeon Console.

Earlier, on December 23, 2025, SS Innovations hosted a robotic telesurgery marathon from its headquarters where nine surgeons performed 24 telesurgeries across multiple locations in India within 12 hours, spanning ten different procedure types including cardiac surgeries. Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Chairman and CEO, emphasized the system's role in enabling cross-sharing of expertise and dismantling geographical barriers to care.

The company is set to host the Global Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgery Conference 2026 (SMRSC 2026) in New Delhi from April 9-11, where over 20 live telesurgeries using the SSi Mantra will be demonstrated. Registration is available at https://ssinnovations.com/SMRSC_2026/register/.

SS Innovations, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with operations in India, aims to make robotic surgery affordable and accessible globally. The SSi Mantra system features modular arms, an ergonomic surgeon console, 3D 4K visualization, and over 40 types of robotic instruments. It has been clinically validated in more than 100 surgical procedures in India.

This development underscores the growing traction of telesurgery in expanding access to specialized care, particularly in regions with limited local expertise. The approvals in Indonesia and the Philippines could pave the way for broader adoption across Asia, aligning with SS Innovations' mission to drive equitable healthcare access.
