SS Innovations to Host SMRSC 2026 in New Delhi, Showcasing Breakthroughs in Telesurgery and Battlefield Robotics

SS Innovations International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSII) announced it will host the Global Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgery Conference (SMRSC 2026) in New Delhi, India, from April 9 to 11, 2026. The conference, now in its third year, is expected to surpass last year's attendance of 1,400 in-person and 600 virtual participants from 17 nations. The event will unite surgeons, innovators, and healthcare leaders to discuss and shape the future of robotic and minimally invasive surgery.

Highlights of SMRSC 2026 include more than 20 live telesurgeries using the SSi Mantra surgical robotic system, demonstrating critical aspects of telesurgery such as connectivity, latency management, cybersecurity, and clinical protocols. Among these, several procedures will utilize the SSi MantrAsana Tele Surgeon Console, a compact chair-based version that enables portability and telesurgery from various settings, including physician offices.

A major innovation to be showcased is the SSi Vimana Aero Drone System, a trauma surgery system delivered by a heavy-lift autonomous drone. Designed for battlefield use, the system deploys two miniature robotic arms with seven degrees of freedom, remotely operated by a trauma surgeon via an SSi Mantra command center. It can address hemorrhaging, wound repair, chest decompression, shrapnel extraction, and field suturing, aiming to stabilize wounded soldiers before evacuation.

Project Operion will provide an interactive window into the future of surgical robotics, highlighting enhanced access and training beyond hospital walls, mobile high-tech surgical infrastructure, and telesurgery integration for long-distance healthcare. Additionally, the MantraM Mobile Robotic Telesurgery Unit, a bus designed to bring specialized surgical care to underserved communities, will be on display.

Distinguished guests include Dr. Fred Moll, Vice-Chairman of SS Innovations and widely recognized as the "Father of Robotic Surgery," along with humanitarian Sri Madhusudan Sai, Dr. Naresh Treahan of Medanta, former ISRO director Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, and Dr. Ashutosh Tewari from Mount Sinai.

Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Chairman and CEO of SS Innovations, stated, "From live telesurgeries and robotic surgeries to demonstrations of exciting new technologies, this year’s event will be our largest and will continue to elevate the theme of decentralizing and democratizing access to surgical robotic care." The conference will take place at West Plaza, Bharat Mandapam. For more information, visit the conference page and register here.
