Texas Venture Fest 2026: Statewide Innovation Network Unites 3,500+ Entrepreneurs Across 10+ Cities

On October 1, 2026, the 4th Annual Texas Venture Fest will convene more than 3,500 entrepreneurs, investors, and community leaders across 10-plus cities and 20-plus venues, marking the largest state-focused innovation experience in Texas history. The event, co-created by a coalition of venture capital firms, accelerators, universities, economic development corporations, and civic organizations, aims to celebrate local startup communities while linking them into a unified statewide network. This collaborative approach underscores how Texas leverages regional strengths to drive economic growth and national leadership, with the 2026 theme "Innovation is Statecraft" framing entrepreneurial innovation as a strategic engine for the state's economy.

"We bring together a statewide coalition with a shared purpose: amplifying the ecosystem of entrepreneur support," said CS Freeland, Texas Venture Fest organizer. "When each co-host showcases their regional perspective and expertise, our collective work connects local strengths into a powerful statewide network. The Fest puts that vision into practice through locally led gatherings across Texas." The festival's decentralized structure allows each region to tailor programming to its unique strengths, from Austin's technology hub to the Rio Grande Valley's binational trade focus, ensuring that founders across the state gain access to a connected ecosystem regardless of their location.

Regional highlights demonstrate the breadth of Texas's innovation landscape. In Austin, the Austin Venture Crawl will feature Silverton Partners' Oktoberfest kickoff, the Founders' Outpost hosted by LiveOak Ventures, S3 Ventures, 512 Financial, and KPMG, space workforce roundtables by SWIFT, and research panels hosted by the Federal Labs Consortium and USPTO. North Texas will see Kiln Dallas host ecosystem leaders, including Michael Phillips of T.D. Jakes Enterprises discussing capital access through the Good Soil Movement, alongside insights from The Founders Arena. In El Paso and San Antonio, Pioneers 21 and UTEP's Hunt G.O. Foundry anchor El Paso Startup Week activities, while San Antonio's Emerge and Rise spotlights local founders and creators.

Central and Hill Country Texas will host diverse events: Pflugerville presents a Women's Summit and Venture Pfest; Georgetown offers angel investing workshops with CTAN; Round Rock Chamber features founder fireside chats; and Hill Country Venture Fest highlights rural student entrepreneurs at Mason's historic Odeon Theater. "Founders across Texas deserve access to a connected statewide ecosystem," said McKenzie of The Building Texas Show. "Supporting Texas Venture Fest statewide, and hosting the Hill Country gathering, is how we put that mission into action. Rural students pitching at the Odeon belong in the same conversation as founders in Austin, Dallas, El Paso, and San Antonio." Houston and South Texas will showcase health tech, energy transition, and space innovations in Houston, while the Rio Grande Valley and Laredo highlight binational trade, cross-border entrepreneurship, and logistics hubs. Buda joins with spotlight events on local small business growth and suburban innovation.

The festival's rapid growth—from 700 attendees in 2022 to 3,500 across 25 venues in 2025—reflects Texas's escalating prominence as a startup epicenter. This year, as an anchor event of Texas Startup & Tech Week, it reinforces the state's position as a premier global hub for innovation. By uniting disparate regions under a shared vision, Texas Venture Fest demonstrates that collaboration across regional lines can power economic growth, attract investment, and foster a resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem that benefits the entire state.
