Travelodge Opens Largest Hotel in Asia in Seoul's Gangnam District

Travelodge Hotels Asia has officially opened Travelodge Gangnam Yeoksam Seoul, its fifth hotel in South Korea and its largest property in Asia with 360 rooms. The fully renovated hotel, announced via Media OutReach Newswire, represents a significant milestone in the company's regional expansion strategy and underscores growing demand for value-driven accommodation in one of Seoul's most dynamic districts.

The opening matters because it positions Travelodge squarely in Gangnam, a district that blends business, shopping, dining, and culture. The hotel is one of the few newly refreshed properties in the area, giving travelers a modern base close to COEX and the district's commercial and cultural landmarks. For a brand that operates 18 hotels across Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Thailand, with plans to exceed 50 properties by 2030, this flagship-scale opening demonstrates its ability to execute larger projects in competitive urban markets.

Guest feedback highlights the practical appeal. Kevin Hayes, a business traveler from California who stayed four nights, said, "The check-in process was quick and easy, and the room had everything I needed for a business trip. The fast Wi-Fi made it easy to stay connected and get work done, while the comfortable bed was a welcome bonus after a busy day of meetings." Such testimonials suggest the hotel is well-tuned to the needs of both business and leisure travelers.

The property offers Queen, Twin, Triple, Quadruple, and Accessible Rooms, catering to solo travelers, couples, families, and groups. Amenities include a co-working lounge, fitness center, meeting facilities for up to 60 people, a business center, and a guest lounge with a microwave and hydration center. Breakfast is provided by BON Food Service, and a GS25 convenience store is scheduled to open by the end of October. Additional facilities include 43 parking spaces, self-service laundry, a currency exchange kiosk, and a 24-hour front desk.

Location is a key advantage. The hotel is 600 meters from the Seolleung and Jeongneung Royal Tombs and near Bongeunsa Temple. Business travelers can reach COEX Convention & Exhibition Center, Starfield Mall, and Library within 15 minutes by bus or subway. The Gangnam Station Shopping District offers dining, shopping, and nightlife, while Lotte World is about 30 minutes away by subway. Garosu-gil and Apgujeong Rodeo provide fashion, beauty, and café culture.

To celebrate the opening, the "Stay Gold in Gangnam" promotion offers eligible guests booking directly from October 2026 to January 2027 the chance to win a 24K gold bar via the hotel's Fortune Wheel and enjoy a complimentary Hanbok experience. Members also benefit from Best Price Guarantee+, up to 5% cashback after their stay, and perks like Early Check-In and Late Check-Out. Travelers can sign up for free to unlock these benefits.

Anthony Yoo, Hotel Manager, said, "Gangnam has so much to offer, from business and shopping to local culture. We're excited to welcome guests to Travelodge Gangnam Yeoksam Seoul, offering a comfortable place to unwind and a stay they can trust while enjoying everything the city has to offer." The opening reinforces Travelodge's commitment to strategic growth and sets a benchmark for its future properties in Asia.
