Trilogy Metals holds a 50 percent interest in Ambler Metals LLC, which has a 100 percent interest in the Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects in northwestern Alaska. The project is located within the Ambler Mining District, described as one of the richest and most-prospective known copper-dominant districts in the world. It hosts polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposits containing copper, zinc, lead, gold, and silver, as well as carbonate replacement deposits with high-grade copper and cobalt mineralization.
The FAST-41 designation is particularly significant given the growing demand for critical minerals such as copper, which is essential for electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and electrical infrastructure. Streamlining the permitting process for domestic projects like the Arctic Project could help reduce U.S. reliance on foreign sources of these minerals.
