Vast Coworking Group (Vast), the world's largest privately owned franchisor of coworking spaces, reported strong year-over-year performance for 2025, driven by systemwide sales growth, membership expansion, franchise development, and international growth across its three brands: Venture X, Office Evolution, and Intelligent Office. The company has solidified its position as the second-largest flexible workspace network in North America and the third-largest worldwide by number of locations.
The flexible office sector continues to attract investment as enterprises and entrepreneurs shift toward flexible office solutions. Despite representing only an estimated 2% of U.S. office inventory, flexible workspace is one of the fastest-growing categories in commercial real estate, increasingly seen as essential to modern office strategies.
Venture X reported an 11% increase in annual revenue, while Office Evolution posted a 13% increase. Intelligent Office maintained stable revenue as it refined its virtual office and professional services offerings, preparing for expansion in 2026. Membership growth was robust, with Venture X growing its global membership base by 67%, Office Evolution by 50%, and Intelligent Office surpassing 4,800 members.
“We're now in the era of 'Coworking 4.0' with commercial real estate having a flex-first approach,” said Jason Anderson, Co-Founder and CEO of Vast. “Fortune 500 companies and other major enterprises—even the government—are turning to flex to accommodate hybrid and geographically distributed workforces without long-term leases. The performance of our brands in 2025 underscores the strength of our portfolio and franchise model.”
Vast expanded its global square footage and geographic reach. Venture X exceeded 1.49 million square feet of workspace globally, Office Evolution surpassed 919,700 square feet, and Intelligent Office exceeded 324,800 square feet, bringing Vast's total to more than 2.7 million square feet worldwide. Development activity accelerated, with Venture X opening 11 new locations and Office Evolution opening 6. Franchise development resulted in 13 new Venture X agreements, 16 Office Evolution agreements, and 11 Intelligent Office agreements, with 34 locations in the pipeline for 2026.
International expansion was a key focus. Office Evolution opened its first international locations in Canada and South Africa and signed a master license agreement for the United Kingdom. Venture X expanded a location in India and signed a master license agreement for South Africa. Opportunities remain available for coworking operators, investors, prospective franchisees, landlords, and brokers. More information is available at vastcoworking.com.
