Conventional antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) often cause systemic toxicity due to premature release of potent toxins outside the tumor. VERAXA's BiTAC-ADC platform appears to overcome this by requiring both components to engage for tumor-specific activation, a design that could translate into a wider therapeutic window and better patient outcomes. The observed tumor regression in a breast cancer model, achieved with a single low dose and no weight loss, is a promising early signal of both efficacy and tolerability. If these findings hold up in further preclinical and clinical testing, BiTAC-ADCs could become a new class of targeted cancer therapies that are both more effective and safer than current options.
