Verizon (NYSE, Nasdaq: VZ) today announced a sweeping overhaul of its consumer offerings, eliminating activation and upgrade fees for all postpaid customers who opt into its new loyalty program, launching a simplified plan called Verizon Simplicity, and introducing a combined mobile and home plan called Verizon One. The moves are part of a multi-year transformation aimed at reducing industry complexity and putting customer needs first.
“We’re fundamentally reshaping Verizon inside and out to put the customer at the center of everything we do,” said Dan Schulman, Verizon CEO. “For too long, this industry has burdened people with complex plans, forced upgrades they don’t need, and so-called ‘rewards’ with tons of caveats.”
The new loyalty program, Verizon Loyalty, is open to all customers on any plan. By opting in through the My Verizon app, customers can avoid activation and upgrade fees—saving up to $40 per device. Additionally, the program introduces Verizon Dollars, which gives customers 3% back each month, redeemable for devices, accessories, or up to 5x value from brands like Sephora, Hilton, Marriott, and Starbucks. Starting in July, customers can redeem their Verizon Dollars. The program also includes Verizon Shine, a weekly sweepstakes offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as tickets to the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final, VIP access to concerts, and travel packages.
Verizon Simplicity, priced at $45 per line ($30 for new customers switching to Verizon), provides unlimited access to Verizon’s best 5G network, including 5G Ultra Wideband, with no network tiers. The plan includes 10GB of premium mobile hotspot, roaming in Canada and Mexico, and satellite texting. Customers can add home internet starting at $35 per month. For those seeking device upgrades, Simplicity Plus and Simplicity Pro offer annual upgrades. Customizable bundles, such as the “For Movie and Show Lovers bundle” with Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Netflix, and HBO Max, allow customers to tailor their plan.
Verizon One, also launching today, combines mobile and home internet on a single bill for $70 per month, with taxes and fees included. Designed for new customers, it leverages Verizon’s 5G network and fiber network to provide a streamlined experience managed through the My Verizon app.
These announcements build on the success of myPlan, which remains available alongside the new offerings. The company expects the changes to be accretive to revenue and EBITDA growth and to reduce churn, with no change to its 2026 financial guidance.
