Verizon, the Official Telecommunication Services Sponsor for FIFA World Cup 2026, announced today its largest free ticket giveaway for the tournament, offering over 2,500 free tickets across all 64 matches. The tickets will be available on June 1 at 3:00 PM ET through Verizon Access in the My Verizon app on a first-come, first-served basis.
Leslie Berland, Chief Marketing Officer at Verizon, emphasized the company's commitment to providing unique experiences. “This is our biggest FIFA World Cup ticket drop yet for the most highly anticipated sporting event,” she said. The giveaway includes hundreds of “Golden Tickets” for pitchside access. To claim tickets, customers must reside within 150 miles of the host city for the match they select.
The ticket drop covers all 11 U.S. host cities: Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Kansas City, Dallas, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, New York/New Jersey, Miami, and Philadelphia. Each city has specific matches and times allocated, with Pacific Time cities at 12:00 PM PT, Central Time cities at 2:00 PM CT, and East Coast cities at 3:00 PM ET.
In addition to the ticket giveaway, Verizon is offering new Home Internet customers three months of FOX One on us, ensuring they can stream the tournament. Existing myPlan customers can add FOX One as a monthly perk for $15/month, a savings of nearly $5 off the standard retail price.
This announcement underscores Verizon's role in powering the FIFA World Cup 2026 with advanced 5G and fiber technology, providing connectivity upgrades across all host stadiums and Fan Festivals. The company is deploying its network to enhance the fan experience, as detailed on its website.
The June 1 drop represents the last chance for customers to secure free tickets before the tournament begins. Verizon has already distributed thousands of tickets in previous drops. The company debuted a new commercial featuring David Beckham to promote the giveaway.
This initiative is part of Verizon's broader strategy to engage customers through exclusive sports access. The company reported revenues of $138.2 billion in 2025 and serves millions of customers worldwide.
