VOCIC has unveiled the U32 Ultra Lightweight Manual Wheelchair, a foldable, self-propelled wheelchair designed to ease daily mobility for seniors, caregivers, and families. With a 23 lb aluminum frame and a total weight of 35 lb including wheels and leg rests, the U32 aims to provide dependable seated mobility without the bulk and strain often associated with traditional manual wheelchairs.

The lightweight aluminum frame weighs 23 lb, and the total wheelchair weight is 35 lb with leg rests and wheels attached. The wheelchair folds to a compact 12.6" x 26.8" size, making it easier to store in a closet or vehicle. Quick-release rear wheels add portability by allowing wheel removal for tighter storage spaces.

The U32 includes flip-up armrests and swing-in/out footrests to create a clearer transfer path, reducing obstruction between the user and destination surfaces. Height-adjustable armrests and adjustable footplates allow better body positioning, and the 17.7" wide by 17" deep seat with a breathable cushion supports comfort.
Caregiver-friendly handling is a key feature. The rear push handles offer four levels of height adjustment, from about 37" to 40.5"/40.6", accommodating caregivers of different heights. A rear stepper tube helps tilt the wheelchair over small curbs or obstacles. The U32 also supports both user and caregiver control with user-operated hand brakes on the main wheels and caregiver-operated handle brakes on the push handles.
Safety features include user hand brakes, caregiver handle brakes, rear reflectors for visibility, a safety belt, an anti-tip device, and a reinforced Double-X Base frame for stability. These features support safer everyday use when properly fitted and operated.
