VYRE Network (OTCID: VYRE), a free global streaming platform, announced a strategic partnership with Dr. Greg Carter, founder of Nexus Entertainment, to oversee curated content programming in Texas and surrounding states. The collaboration aims to strengthen VYRE's presence in the region by leveraging Dr. Carter's extensive experience as a creator, director, producer, and showrunner.
Dr. Carter, a Houston native and Texas A&M University graduate, has produced over 30 feature films and multiple network television projects. Notable credits include Lucky Girl, My B.F.F., One Crazy Christmas, Hip Hop Family Christmas, and Hip Hop Family Christmas Wedding, the latter produced with Jamie Foxx and Foxxhole Entertainment, premiering on VH1. He is also a professor of film media at the University of Houston Valenti School of Communication and a President's Scholar.
Under the agreement, Dr. Carter will help curate high-quality feature films, television series, docu-series, and live special events. He will collaborate with VYRE's executive programming team to develop regional content, establish creator and studio relationships, package projects, and expand VYRE's footprint for culturally relevant storytelling. Additionally, he will lead educational sessions for Texas-based creators on financing, deal structure, pitching, and distribution.
"Dr. Carter is both very talented and experienced. Our team is excited to bring on '5th Ward,' and for us to continue to collaborate in the future," said Lamar Seay, Co-founder and Chief Content Officer of VYRE Network. Dr. Carter echoed the sentiment, stating, "My mission is simple: To empower regional creators and give them a real pathway to funding, development, production oversight, and worldwide exposure. Houston — and the entire region — is rich with untold stories and creative voices."
Beginning in 2026, audiences can stream curated titles from Nexus Entertainment and regional acquisitions free on the VYRE app across platforms including Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV, LG, Sony, Tizen-enabled devices, iOS, Android, and via the web at https://vyre.tv.
This partnership underscores VYRE's commitment to independent content and creator empowerment, bridging the gap between independent and mainstream entertainment. Since its launch in 2019, VYRE has focused on providing global distribution, film financing, and production support to emerging talent, redefining the entertainment landscape.
