Xeriant Begins NexBoard Production for Commercial Evaluations

Xeriant, Inc. (OTCQB: XERI) has announced that it is initiating production of its NexBoard™ universal construction panel through a contract manufacturer capable of high-volume commercial output. This move enables the company to fulfill sample requests from homebuilders and commercial construction firms, following successful independent third-party testing.

NexBoard achieved a Class A rating under ASTM E84 and passed the NFPA 286 corner room burn test, demonstrating its fire-resistant properties. The panel is made from recycled plastic and fiber waste and incorporates Xeriant’s proprietary Durazite™ fire-retardant technology under the DUREVER™ brand. It is designed for applications including interior walls and ceilings, subflooring, roofing underlayment, and exterior sheathing.

The initiation of production is a significant step for Xeriant as it moves NexBoard from the development phase toward commercial availability. By fulfilling sample requests, the company aims to generate interest and secure orders from potential customers in the construction industry.

NexBoard is positioned as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional construction materials such as drywall, plywood, OSB, MDF, and MgO board. Its composition from waste materials aligns with growing sustainability trends in the building sector, potentially offering a competitive advantage.

The successful test results are crucial for market acceptance. The Class A fire rating is the highest for building materials, indicating that NexBoard can significantly slow fire spread. Passing the NFPA 286 test further validates its safety for use in wall and ceiling assemblies.

By leveraging a contract manufacturer, Xeriant can scale production to meet demand without heavy capital investment. This approach allows the company to respond quickly to commercial evaluations and potential orders.

The announcement follows Xeriant’s mission to discover, develop, and commercialize transformative technologies. The advanced materials line under the DUREVER brand includes NexBoard, which is patent-pending and aims to replace conventional panels in construction.
